WHAT ARE DENTURES?

Dentures are constructed by the dentist to replace the missing teeth. They are also called false teeth and get support from the surrounding hard/soft tissues of oral cavity.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF DENTURES AVAILABLE?

There are 2 types of dentures i.e. complete dentures and removable partial dentures. Complete dentures are used by patients who do not have any teeth in a single arch (upper or maxillary / lower or mandibular arch)

Patients that have some missing teeth in an arch use removable partial dentures.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF PREPARING DIGITAL DENTURE AT WHITE DENTAL LOUNGE, AHMEDABAD ?

  • • The esthetics of the digital dentures are higher as compared to conventional dentures
  • • Digital dentures to capture the impression, bite registration, and vertical dimension in a single patient visit
  • • The 3D rendering of the denture serves as a permanent digital record
  • • The manufacturer of the digital denture system can relieve the dental laboratory of the burden of creating the denture

    PARTIAL DENTURES:

A removable partial denture (RPD) is for a partially edentulous dental patient who desires to have replacement teeth for functional or aesthetic reasons, and who cannot have a bridge (a fixed partial denture) for any number of reasons, such as a lack of required teeth to serve as support for a bridge (i.e. distal abutments) or due to financial limitations.

White dental lounge provides advanced partial denture like

  • flexible denture
  • Telescopic Denture,
  • Precision Attachment Denture
  • Cast partial metal denture

FULL DENTURES:

Full dentures are used if there are not any teeth left for support. The full denture covers more of the jaw than a partial denture and is partly held in place by a natural vacuum in the mouth. Using an extremely hard resin tooth on a very strong acrylic base.

They are very natural in appearance due to the many layers of different colour resin used to make each individual tooth and have excellent stain resistance. Normally this quality of denture would need to be replaced due to your gums changing shape rather than the teeth wearing down.

STEP BY STEP REPLACING ALL TEETH WITH IMPLANT SUPPORTED OVERDENTURE :

If you have lost all your teeth in one or both jaws, you can choose a permanently anchored dental implant bridge or a removable prosthesis that is connected to two or more dental implants. This is called an overdenture. This type of overdenture remains in place more firmly than a conventional removable prosthesis.

For a permanently anchored dental implant Overdenture, two or more dental implants are installed to form a good foundation. Because the dental implants are anchored in the jawbone, they stimulate the bone tissue and help to maintain healthy bone levels and facial structures.

An overdenture involves installing two or more dental implants that will be used as a secure foundation to attach the prosthesis. For the overdenture, either ball abutments or a small bar between the abutments are used. The prosthesis is fitted with corresponding devices underneath.

The dental implant bridge, or the overdenture, is now in place. It looks and functions like normal teeth. You can now eat whatever you like and laugh without having to worry about the prosthesis falling out.

    Advantages of Overdentures

  • Support And Stability- Patients Face Looks Natural
  • Ridge Preservation – Preventing Bone loss Under Dentures
  • Increased Biting Force For Patient- Patient Can Eat Anything
  • Proprioception
  • Retention – Now No Loose Dentures
  • Psychological Advantages For Patient
